What could your team’s Pilates Retreat Day look like?

There are three ways to work with me on workplace wellbeing. The Reboot is a single 2 hour workshop, the Reset is six weeks of 2 hour sessions, and then there’s the Retreat Day, which is what I want to talk about today.

Most workplace wellbeing gets squeezed into a lunch break or a rushed hour, and it’s no wonder people don’t feel the benefit. I wanted to offer something different: a whole day for your team to slow down, move well and feel like themselves again.

So what could it look like?

Arrival and welcomeWe start gently, with a welcome smoothie and time to chat and unwind. There’s no rush and no agenda. It’s simply a chance for everyone to arrive, settle in and ease out of work mode.

Pilates fundamentalsOur first class is a friendly introduction to the basics. You don’t need any experience, so whether your team have done Pilates for years or have never set foot on a mat, everyone starts in the same place.

Introduction to your coreThis is a workshop designed to bring awareness to your postural muscles and help you reconnect with your body. If your team spend their days at a desk, this one is often a real eye opener. People start noticing how they sit, stand and move, and that awareness is where change begins.

Tea and coffee breakA proper break, a proper cuppa and a good chat.

Pilates fun with mini ballsYes, really! This session is playful and a little bit silly, and you’ll hear plenty of laughter. It’s also surprisingly effective, and it’s a lovely way for colleagues to connect in a way the office rarely allows.

Strength and stabilityA workshop to build strength where it matters, so your team feel stronger and more supported in their everyday movement, both at work and away from it.

LunchTime to refuel and enjoy each other’s company away from the desks.

A mindful walk in natureDepending on the venue, we head outside to clear the mind and aid digestion. Fresh air and a gentle wander can do wonders for the afternoon slump.

A feel good finishWe finish with mobility, breathwork and meditation. By the end of the day, everyone leaves feeling calm, lighter and ready to take the good habits back to work.

Where could it happen? The Retreat Day can be held at a location of your choice. Please note that if it isn’t at your workplace, there will be additional venue and food and drink costs.

Made for your teamNo two teams are the same, so no two days are the same. Once we’ve confirmed the date and times, I’ll create a bespoke plan around your needs for you to agree. If any health screening is needed, I’ll take care of that beforehand.

Seeing the differenceAt the end of the day, your staff will complete a short questionnaire so we can see what’s worked and what they’ve taken away. I’ll then write up a report for you, showing the difference the day has made along with some potential next steps to keep the momentum going.

If you’d love to bring something like this to your workplace, send me a message and let’s have a chat about what would work best for your team.
